Thomas J. Moore, M.D.,F.A.A.P.

Dr. Moore began practicing pediatrics in 1980, and in 1983 moved to the present practice location in Shorewood.  He was born in Warren, Ohio but moved to the Homewood-Flossmoor area at an early age.

 

He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating with honors in Biology.  Dr. Moore received his M.D. from the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago.  He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Cook County Hospital receiving the Intern of the Year award.  Dr. Moore enjoys the practice of pediatrics trying to make the visits enjoyable for the child as well as the parent.  His professional interests include
infectious disease, ADHD, dermatology and sports medicine.  He has received a Top Doctor Award in general pediatrics for the Chicago Metro area in 2001 and 2004.  Dr. Moore has served on the board of directors of Easter Seals of Will and Grundy Counties for nine years.  He has served on many committees at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center and is presently on the board of directors. 

 

Dr. Moore lives in Shorewood with his wife Nancy, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and two dachshunds Ralph and Nellie.  He has two grown sons.  He enjoys gardening, birding, hiking, photography, travel, and going to Chicago Fire soccer games.
