Asavari Javeri, MD

Dr. Javeri was inspired to pursue medicine after volunteering to set up medical facilities in an area of India that lacked healthcare services. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, ranked as one of the top two medical schools in India and located at the largest hospital in Asia. She completed her internships at UPMC Pittsburgh McKeesport Hospital and Hinsdale Hospital, here in Illinois.

 

 Dr. Javeri is board-certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She genuinely enjoys treating people at all stages of their lives. It gives her great satisfaction to be a positive influence on the lives of her patients. From birth to old age, each patient as an individual and at different points in his or her life, provide her with challenges and gratification. She strives to provide patients with support for their physical, mental and emotional well-being. Part of that support includes being a member of Meridian Medical Associates where her patients have access to superb multi-specialty services all under the same roof. She strives for "prevention is better than cure" in all that she does. She counsels patients of all ages on good nutrition, regular exercise programs, weight regulation and stress management to support a balanced, healthy and happy life.

 

As a member of the community, she is interested in education and speaking to local residents about the importance of preventative care and the management of diseases, such as childhood conditions, diabetes, high-blood pressure and high cholesterol.

 

She shares her life with two young sons and her husband that keep her active and happy as well. She enjoys cheering her sons in sports activities, listening to music, reading and traveling.
